Jason Sheasby is an experienced trial attorney in Los Angeles, California. He joined the Irell & Manella law firm as a lawyer in 1999 and has advanced to the position of partner. During his time as a lead lawyer at the firm, Jason Sheasby has distinguished himself as one of the nation’s top intellectual property (IP) attorneys. He was a finalist for The Recorder’s 2024 IP Lawyer of the Year, among many additional honors and awards in the field.
His legal career has featured many notable victories. In 2025, Jason Sheasby served as co-lead counsel for the memory module company Netlist, successfully proving a breach of contract by Samsung, which paid $421 million in patent infringement damages. He has secured numerous verdicts exceeding $100 million and $200 million in damages for his clients.
Mr. Sheasby graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School with his juris doctor. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Pomona College and remains connected to the school as a member of its board. He also founded TORL Biotherapeutics.
